You don't have to QUIT  every time to get promoted….

Sounds familiar?

I know that it's rough out there in the marketplace to get promoted easily.  As the job market becomes increasingly competitive, it’s more important than ever to take steps to advance your career.

Your promotion does matter. Whether you’re looking to climb the corporate ladder or simply increase your earning potential. I know it is challenging to stand out from the crowd.

In this article, you are going to get wisdom that NO ONE WILL TELL YOU.

There was a time where I use to think that only those people will get promotion who are extroverts. And I was not that much of an extrovert, because I was good with technical skills and less with people skills. While going over the research studies, I was convinced that I was IN TROUBLE.

One study found that more extroverted people — those who were more confident, sociable or assertive — had a 25% higher chance of being in a high-earning job.

But there is always a silver lining to everything….

Today we will discuss methods to get you promoted faster. Now, presuming you're using some of the techniques now that you've gotten your job or you've been working for a while, what could you do to move up the ladder?

Before moving forward, here is the secret for the INTROVERTS. Share your ambition with your boss [Have a one-one conversation].

Yes, you've got to share what you want to achieve as you move ahead in the organization. Your manager is not a mind reader. He doesn't know where you want to be, right? Schedule a one to one call with your boss, manager, CEO and say “This is my goal; how do you feel about it?” [ Don't appear rude in conversation ] .

Seek guidance, and as far as my experience goes, I cannot tell you more about what has helped me get promoted. Just ask, but I will tell you that most people do not ask!

"Hey, you know what? This is really what I'm working on. Like in two years, I want to get to this position." "Help me."

"What do I need to do?"

"What recommendations?"

"What books would you recommend me to read?"

"What courses would you recommend I take?"

"What expectations would you have for a person in this position?"

And your manager will be more than happy to help you out. He / She might give you tasks and wait for you to meet their expectations.

If you can meet expectations, that job is yours.

Make it a habit to share your ambitions. Where do you want to go? I know you might be shy, but sharing your goals will make your path clearer.

Great! Now you are learning something new. Let's make your vision stronger with the opportunities you are definitely missing. This is the usage of the LinkedIn platform.

Now, before I end this article, there are definitely  soft skills you need to brush up on. Don't worry, I have covered it below.

1.Solve problems for whoever your superior is...

You have to think a few steps ahead. Within your company, there will be a hierarchy and levels of work being distributed. You need to understand “how CEOs think." You need to solve the problem before it comes, and you should become good at that. How fast you can climb the ladder depends very much on how quickly you can remove obstacles. Solve the problems for your boss. Not just doing whatever you're asked to do but thinking just a few steps ahead. And when you do that, you'll naturally get promoted a lot faster.

2.Be an engaged employee...

Establish relationships across your organization. Meaning sometimes when you finish your work but spend a little bit of time with your coworkers. There are chances that being promoted is not a one person decision. It means being an involved member of your organization, attending every optional "Lunch and Learn," and coming up with new ideas for sharing workplace successes. This demonstrates your dedication to the business and the success of your coworkers.

3.Take charge and show your leadership potential…

The first step in being a leader is acting like one. A great leader creates leaders. You become an asset to a company when you develop people who are as good as you or better.  To nurture,  groom, coach, help, and develop them. That's the most valuable skill. This act of leadership is lacking in society. You cannot learn leadership; you develop these skills over time by talking and engaging with people. Plus, don’t get involved in office politics or develop bad habits.

4.Go above and beyond in taking ownership…

If work doesn't get done, if you miss the deadline, you take responsibility.  If you ay something like, "Oh because she's holding another project", or "That's his fault", or "I don't have enough resources". This is definitely not going to get you promoted. You have to be resourceful.  Employers don’t like when employees are focused on “I” rather than “we.”

"How you do anything is how you do everything."

In conclusion, getting promoted requires a combination of hard work, dedication, and strategy. By setting clear goals, continually developing your skills, building strong relationships, being proactive, communicating effectively, and showing results, you’ll position yourself for success.

With these working strategies, you’ll be well on your way to achieving your career goals this year.

I Understand that you're feeling frustrated. Because you haven't been promoted. And you're not sure how to take your career to the next level.

This lack of recognition may be causing you to feel undervalued. Which could lead to decreased motivation and productivity.
